Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

This chocolate chip cookie cake is out of this world. It has just the right amount of ooey gooey chewiness. I made this for my daughter’s birthday after she told me that she did not want a traditional cake. I am glad that I did because it turned out so delicious!

2 large eggs

2 sticks margarine, softened

3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

2-1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350° F.

*TRICK: Place the empty cookie sheet into the oven to preheat it while you are waiting for the oven to get to temperature. This will prevent your first batch of cookie from looking “flat”.

In a large bowl, combine the eggs,  brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla, margarine, and baking soda.

Then, once thoroughly blended, begin adding the flour to the mixture. Continue adding the flour until mixture is smooth.

Next, add the chocolate chips & walnuts. Stir until they are completely mixed into the cookie dough.

Lastly, place heaping teaspoonfuls of the cookie mixture onto the baking sheet; making sure to leave enough space between the cookie so that they don’t end up bumping into each other when they begin to poof up.

Bake for 9-13 minutes.

Once they finish baking, let cookie cool for about 1 minute (just so you don’t burn yourself while trying to eat them).
